CP-189 specifies the requirements for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel. It is more specific and detailed criteria for personnel certification compared to SNT-TC-1A.
NDT Level I personnel work under the direct supervision of NDT Level 2 or NDT Level 3 personnel. NDT Level 1 training is based on basic training and instructions on various NDT Methods.
NDT level 2 personnel have min. practical experiences in various NDT methods. They are authorized to interpret the test results and are more experienced in practical sessions. They are authorized to prepare NDT Inspection reports.
NDT Level 3 people are responsible for developing NDT procedures, evaluating NDT technologies and approvals for test reports.
