HULL AIR LUBRICATION LASER SCANNING IN SAUDI ARABIA
The IMO standards and classification guidelines for ALS systems used in ships and vessels are listed below.
- Air chambers, hull optimization, air flow routes, and guaranteeing hull strength are examples of structural modifications.
- Integrity and Inspection: Intake valve survey, air supply pipe inspection, NDT inspection, and welder qualification.
- Control system: Additional safety protocols, remote monitoring, safety alerts, etc. must be able to regulate ALS.
- Power and Energy Optimization: ALS's additional power usage from compressors and blowers should be less than 3% of the ship's overall power.
- Design and construction, including structural strength improvement, plumbing, safety compliance, and ship classification and flag approval.
- Vessel speed, hull shape, route (voyage, slow streaming), fouling control, etc. are examples of operational profile compatibility.
